Preliminary Analysis
After a quick review of the results, Disney had a good quarter with income gains across its segments. The company’s stock did not rise after the results, however. The main area that investors may be looking at is how Disney+ will impact future earnings for the firm.
If you take a closer look at the future earnings potential for Disney+, it may not allow the company to grow significantly as revenue gains will be small compared to the overall size of the Media Networks division of the company.
Disney+ may act as a way to plug the subscriber loss that the overall industry is experiencing through traditional TV services.
More information on the quarter will be provided in the analysis article.
